Gurnee police responded about 11:00 p.m. Tuesday January 23, 2018 to a report of an armed home invasion in the block of 1600 Belle Plaine Avenue.
Four family members were home at the time, and one of the family members at the victims’ residence suffered a minor injury after jumping up and cutting her leg on a piece of furniture as the suspects forced entry through a locked front door.
The Gurnee Police Department is searching for three male black suspects, who were wearing black hoodies. At least one offender was armed with a black handgun.
The victims reported about $300 was taken during the home invasion. Police have reported that the incident “appears to be isolated” but did not reveal whether or not the victims new the suspects.

The victims’ home is in a neighborhood of single family homes about two miles northeast of Six Flags Great America, and about two blocks from the community border with Waukegan, Illinois.
