In summary, Dr. Jackson stated President Trump’s overall health is excellent. His cardiac performance during his physical exam was very good, and he said Trump continues to enjoy the long term cardiac and overall health benefit of a lifetime of abstinence of tobacco and alcohol.
Dr. Ronny Jackson initially said the exam “went exceptionally well,” but cautioned there’s room for improvement, such as losing 10 to 15 pounds and improving the president’s diet.
Several members of the media appeared shocked that Trump’s diet and lack of exercise resulted in a healthy profile. One media member asked about the ejection fraction. He said his wife had a problem with the condition, but it sounded like he called the condition “ejection fracture.”
The media also asked about dentures and the possibility of dementia based on reports that President Trump has forgotten names or has repeated words or phrases. Dr. Jackson said he has no observations regarding forgetfulness or repeat language.
Even CNN’s Dr. Gupta got one of the procedures wrong when he asked about Tran-Esophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), and Dr. Jackson corrected Dr. Gupta to say that he stated Trump had a Trans-Thoracic Echocardiogram (TTE).
When a media member (Dr Gupta again?) asked about calcium in his blood vessels and heart disease, Dr Jackson replied that Trump has non-clinical athersclerotic coronary atherosclerosis. Dr Jackson added that in previous exams his Coronary Calcium Score was “34 (134?) in 2009, was 98 in 2013, and the Coronary Calcium Score was 133 in the most recent examination last week.
