Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center Police and Great Lake Fire Department firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:15 AM Wednesday December 13, 2017 to a report of a man hit by a vehicle near Building 5 of the Lovell Federal Health Care Center, in North Chicago, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics on scene discovered that a 47 year-old male was hit by a car and seriously injured near the intersection.
A hit-and-run driver fled the scene. No offender vehicle information was initially available.
The victim was working on equipment at the side of the roadway near the intersection.
He was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center by Flight for Life from a helipad nearby.
The man was working at the intersection as an electrical contractor when he was hit and suffered multiple trauma injuries. The scene was located near Building 5 of the Lovell Federal Health Center, which is just south of Buckley Road and Lewis Avenue.
