Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:56 PM Thursday December 28, 2017 to a report of a construction crew that hit a gas line during construction of the new Arlington Heights police station, 200 East Sigwalt Street Arlington Heights, Il. Firefighter/paramedics received a report that a construction crew hit a gas line during construction of the new Arlington Heights police station.
The parking garage was already closed for excavating work that was occurring near the driveway between the Village Hall and the construction site.
There was a strong smell of natural gas inside the first level of the parking garage.
Nicor was on the scene by about 2:20 p.m. (not confirmed).
