A criminal damage to property spree began December 8, 2017 with the eventual shooting out of car windows in more than 20 vehicles. The loss in the incidents has totaled thousands of dollars in damage.
Wauconda Police Department Deputy Police Chief Mike Botterman explained that an air rifle was used to target the vehicles. Similar crimes have occurred in Volo and Island Lake.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the crimes.
