Skokie police received a report from the Illinois State Police about 5:55 PM Monday November 13, 2017 a stolen auto in the area eastbound I-94 and Waukegan Road and ultimately recovered the stolen auto near Touhy Avenue and Le Claire Avenue Skokie, IL. Police received a report that unknown offenders were sighted in a stolen vehicle — a silver Toyota Prius 4-door– on eastbound I-94 from Waukegan Road.
The vehicle was reported stolen on Thursday November 9, 2017 to Skokie Police Department.
Three occupants were inside the vehicle.
The vehicle was also southbound on I-94 from Old Orchard about 6:10 p.m., but fled at a high speed from police at about Church Street. The vehicle was sighted again with Skokie police following the vehicle on eastbound I-94 south of Gross Pointe, and then westbound on Touhy Avenue about 6:15 p.m.
The suspects bailed out of the vehicle, and a foot pursuit continued eastbound in an alley, just north of Touhy Avenue and west of I-94.
The suspects were last seen on foot southbound on Le Claire Avenue from Touhy Avenue, and were at large as of about 6:17 p.m.
No description of the suspects was available.
