Chicago police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:53 AM Friday November 3, 2017 to a report of a fire in a machine at the chocolate factory, 600 West Kinzie Chicago, Il . Police, firefighters and paramedics received a report of a fire in a machine at the chocolate factory.
Battalion Chief 3 reported a fire in one of their machines in the chocolate factory with heavy smoke on the third floor. The building is 300 feet by 150 feet.
Battalion Chief 3 reported one line was led out to the fire by 11:53 AM. Also an aerial ladder was raised to the roof, and the building occupants self-evacuated by 11:58 AM.
The fire was declared under control by 11:58 a.m.
