Schaumburg police received a report about 2:21 PM Saturday October 21, 2017 of a stolen auto Woodfield Mall Schaumburg, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender stole a black BMW 535, and the vehcle was involved in a hit-and-run crash about 30 minutes later.
The auto theft was apparently witnessed, but it was not reported as a vehicular hijacking.
The offender was described as a male/white 6’0″ 150 LBS, wearing a black hat, black shorts, and black boots.
The vehicle was last seen at Woodfield Mall heading westbound toward Meacham Road.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 2:21 p.m.
At about 2:51 p.m. the BMW was involved in a hit-and-run crash at Higgins Road and Barrington Road. The BMW now has passenger side damage.
No known injuries were reported at the hit-and-run crash.
