Generally dry/quiet conditions are expected to start the period on Sunday, October 8, 2017, as the current system departs further to the east. Sunday`s high temps are still expected to hit the upper 70s. As warm air mass quickly returns on Sunday. Some areas in Chicagoland might hit 80°F.
The next chance of significant precipitation is probably not until mid-week.
Radar shows that almost all significant precipitation has moved east of the Illinois-Indiana state line. Some sprinkles might linger especially in west suburbs and south suburbs.
The major band of clouds is heading east out of Illinois to Indiana, Lake Michigan and Michigan. Another band of clouds following from the west was over the Mississippi River at 5:45 p.m. The cloud band seems to be diminishing on satellite view.
