Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:15 AM Thursday October 5, 2017 to a report of a crash with entrapment, 42°01’44.9″N 87°59’42.6″W (Higgins Road and Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village, Il). Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a vehicle was crashed into the trees on HIggins Road near Route 53. The crash was actually closer to Arlington Heights Road.
Crew on arrival reports vehicle in the trees with severe damage.
On assessment, crew reports heavy entrapment on the driver’s side.
One patient was in the vehicle and was extricated by 6:30 a.m. The patient possibly had life-threatening injuries.
Fire command reported the crash was located just east of the pedestrian bridge, but Google Traffic Layer appears to show that the crash was just west of the pedestrian bridge.
