Man in purple wig robs bank at Bank of America in Glen Ellyn.
Glen Ellyn police responded about 9:26 AM Friday September 29, 2017 to a bank robbery at Bank of America, 600 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL. Police received a report that man robbed the bank, taking an unknown amount of cash.
The offender was described as male/white, age 45, 5’8″ wearing a purple shoulder length wig, a blue sweatshirt and plaid lounge pants, a gray ski cap, and sunglasses.
The offender was carrying a blue or black bag.
The suspect ran eastbound from the bank, but officers searching the area did not find the man in the area.
Another suspect, Corey Lewis, age 27, of Bolingbrook, who is believed to be a suspect in a bank robbery Tuesday, September 26, 2017 about 6:00 p.m. at the Chase Bank at 22W151 Butterfield Road in Glen Ellyn, was arrested and charged with bank robbery connected to the September 20, 2017 bank robbery at TCF Bank, 2128 Mannheim Road, Westchester.
Corey Lewis is also a suspect in a bank robbery Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 1:20 p.m. at the Fifth Third Bank, 1801 Algonquin Road, Rolling Meadows.
Corey Lewis is also a suspect in a bank robbery Saturday, September 23, 2017 at U.S. Bank, 13521 S. Route 59, Plainfield; and a bank robbery Monday, September 18, 2017 at TCF Bank, 1156 Maple Avenue, Lisle.
Glen Ellyn Police urge anyone with information about the Bank of America robbery to call the Glen Ellyn Police Department at 630-469-1187 or the FBI at 312-421-6700.
