Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:22 AM Wednesday September 6, 2017 to a hit-and-run car vs pedestrian incident with personal injury at Springinsguth Road and Weathersfield Way Schaumburg, IL. Police received a report of a possible serious personal injury hit-and-run. A 13-year-old female was struck by a car, and was injured.
The female teen was reported to have been hit in the crosswalk, and was transported to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. Injuries were not initially believed to be life-threatening.
The offending vehicle was described as a black Audi that left the scene northbound on Springinsguth Road toward Schaumburg Road.

A second personal injury hit-and-run vehicle vs. bicyclist incident was reported at National Parkway and Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg about 7:22 a.m.
A vehicle vs bicyclist incident was also reported in Mount Prospect at 7:40 a.m. at Elmhurst Avenue and Lincoln Street. A 12-year-old male bicyclist was hit by a vehicle. There was no report of the motorist fleeing the scene at this incident.
