UPDATE: Stabbing Occurred After Fight Among 2 Friends Near Campbell St and Vail Ave, Arlington Heights
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:38 PM Sunday, August 27, 2017 to a report of a person stabbed on Campbell Street near Vail Avenue in front of 14 West Campbell Street.
Police on arrival reported a second stabbing victim near the parking garage at 22 South Vail Avenue. The victim was apparently just south of Harmony Park, but on the west side of Dunton Avenue.
Police were gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses from about 8:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. from both victim locations. The crime scene was apparently in front of 14 West Campbell Street, where firefighters accomplished a biohazard cleanup near the curb on the south side of Campbell Street.
Both victims were transported to Northwest Community Hospital by Arlington Heights Fire Department firefighter/paramedics. Since the crime scene yellow tape barrier was taken down by about 9:30 p.m., the victims’ injuries are apparently not life threatening.
At least one witness described a suspect as a male/black 5’9 to 5’10” thin build, with a buzz cut haircut and wearing a black hoodie. The suspect description had not been confirmed by police as of 10:30 p.m.
