Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:09 PM Friday, August 18, 2017 to check on a resident in the block of 1100 East Kensington Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police responded to a check for well-being call, and then requested firefighter/paramedics to expedite to the scene after they arrived on scene.
A man was apparently seriously injured, and was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
The injury might have involved a gunshot wound. Police were ruling out any possible criminal activity, and were canvassing the immediate neighborhood.
There is no apparent threat to the neighborhood. Police activities near the house, which is located on the south side of Kensington Road, did not indicate they are searching for any suspects at large.
Several detectives were on the scene for about an hour, and yellow police tape surrounded the front yard of the house.
