Chicago police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:10 PM Tuesday August 15, 2017 to a report of a boat taking on water east of Monroe Harbor, 400 East Monroe Street Chicago, Il with passengers on board abandoning ship.
Chicago Fire Department Fast Boat 6-8-8 crew on arrival reported by 10:11 p.m. confirmation that a 37-foot power boat was sinking.
Both people were rescued by 10:14 p.m. and crews were working to pump out the boat to attempt to save it and tow it into safe harbor.
The Water Rescue response was canceled by 10:14 p.m.
