Chicago Fire Department about 1:40 PM Wednesday July 12, 2017 responded to an aircraft incident at Midway International Airport on Runway 31 Center Midway International Airport. Chicago Fire Department Battalion 16 requested a Still and Box and an EMS Plan 1 for a jet that slid off Runway 31 Center into the grass at Midway International Airport.
Battalion Chief 16 immediately struck out the Still and Box and secured the EMS Plan 1, and requested one ambulance for standby for a small jet that slid off Runway 31 Center.
The Battalion Chief reported there were four people on board — two pilots and two passengers. None of the four people initially reported any injuries, and the four were all signing medical releases in the Signature building shortly after incident.
