Chicago Police responded about 10:35 a.m. Thursday June 15, 2017 to a report of a home invasion in the block of 6800 West Hobart Avenue. Police received a report that two men broke into the home while three young girls were inside the home. The three girls — two age 11 and one age 8 — ran upstairs, hid in a locked bathroom and called 911 after they hear a window break, and heard people entering their house. When the offenders knocked on the bathroom door, the girls remained silent in the bathroom.
Officers responded immediately, and were engaged in a short foot chase and apprehended two suspects. No injuries were reported involving anyone involved in the case.
Michael Alarcon, 29, and Marcos Alarcon, 25, were each charged with one felony count of residential burglary, police said.
Michael Alarcon was released with electronic monitoring, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. Marcos Alarcon remained held in jail on a $90,000 bond Saturday morning. Both suspects are scheduled to return to court Thursday June 22, 2017.
