Two customers at a Park Ridge Starbucks got into argument over an error in a drink order, and the argument ended with a stabbing. CBS 2’s Charlie De Mar reports.
Park Ridge police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:35 PM Sunday June 18, 2017 to a report of a person stabbed at the Starbucks, 100 South Northwest Highway Park Ridge, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a person was stabbed during a fight at Starbucks.
Police on scene reported the scene was secure by 2:36 p.m.
Police are investigating the stabbing, which apparently occurred when two customers were arguing about an order involving the wrong drink. There were witnesses to the stabbing, but the victim initially did not want to press charges against the suspect. The offender received the wrong drink, and the stabbing victim had been trying to calm down the offender. Witnesses said blood was seen inside the foyer, after the victim was slashed in the hand.
The victim was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
