Streamwood police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:52 PM Monday, May 29, 2017 to a report of a house fire at 120 Emerald Drive Streamwood, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that that a caller woke up in the house, and said the fire was in the bedroom.
Firefighters were updated that flames are visible from a second floor window, and received a report that all residents are out of the house.
Truck 32’s crew, while responding, reported smoke showing.
Truck 32 on arrival reported a 2-story frame, unknown dimensions, with fire blowing out the second floor windows. Truck 32’s crew was immediately leading out with a 2 1/2-inch line.
Battalion Chief 9 reported a fire in an upper bedroom on the A-Side.
Initial fire attack was an exterior attack, and then an interior attack to extinguish fire that had extended to the attic.
The fire was out by 5:10 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and the damage estimate was about $30,000.
