The ABC7 I-Team began tracing videos that claim to be shot on 1st Avenue, which led to discovery of a west suburban man claiming to be a Broadview police officer, wearing a Broadview police patch, and selfies with Broadview police in the background.
One video that the ABC7 I-TEAM found had the caption, “What does 130 mph on 1st Ave feel like? Well, let’s find out!”
The I-TEAM compared the reckless speed to the fatal crash of Piotr Rog that killed three members of an Arlington Heights family in February 2017.
Rog had a history of high-speed driving and numerous license suspensions and that he was drunk at the time of the crash with a blood-alcohol level at three times the legal limit.
