Wheeling police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:40 AM Thursday to a report of petroleum tanker truck stuck in the mud at 222 South Wolf Road Wheeling, Il. Wheeling police requested firefighter/paramedics respond to the scene to check for a possible hazard involving a petroleum truck stuck in the mud with some possible damage to the truck on a private road just west of Wolf Road.
Some pathways of Heritage Park were closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic as a precaution.
Transfer of a flammable liquid may be required before the truck is towed away.
Police went door-to-door to notify residents about the hazard. Some residents may have been evacuated near the scene.
