Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:55 AM Wednesday to a report of a gas leak at Italia Foods, 2365 Hammond Drive Schaumburg, Il. Schaumburg police on scene reporting a nitrogen leak. Schaumburg firefighters were investigating a possible nitrogen leak.
Some firefighter crews released by about 9:02 a.m.
Fire command reports that the hazard involves a nitrogen leak from a pressure relief valve, and is contained to the outside of the building, and is not a threat to the area.
Amerigas is responding to the scene to service a pressure relief valve. The Hazmat Level I response was terminated at 9:07 a.m.
