Crash in school crossing zone; no injuries near Olive-Mary Stitt School, Arlington Heights.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:24 PM Wednesday to a report of crash with injuries at Arlington Heights Road and Olive Street Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a crash on Arlington Heights Road near Olive-Mary Stitt School.
A crossing guard was on duty or about scheduled for duty at the time of the crash. The crossing guard said he did not witness the crash.
The crash involved a small SUV and a small station wagon. After the impact, the small SUV with children aboard left the roadway at the southeast corner of Arlington Heights Road and Olive Street.
The crash occurred just before children started heading for school. No pedestrians were injured.
The children inside the small SUV were checked for injuries. No occupants were transported to the hospital.
