UPDATE: A car did not fall on a student. A student suffered a non-life-threatening laceration to a finger and fainted after receiving the injury, according to High School District 214 Media Manager Jennifer Delgado.
INITIAL MISTAKEN REPORT TO 911: Firefighters received a report that a car fell on a male, age 17, at the auto shop at the high school. Reported momentary loss of consciousness, extricated before arrival of firefighters, and now conscious and breathing.

Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:56 AM Friday to a report of an automotive accident at the auto shop at Elk Grove High School, 500 West Elk Grove Boulevard Elk Grove Village, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a car fell on a male, age 17, at the auto shop at the high school.
Firefighter/paramedics received a report the victim had a momentary loss of consciousness. Before they arrived, rescuers also received a report that the male was extricated from the car, and that the male was now conscious and breathing.
