Lake Zurich police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:44 PM Wednesday to a report of a person hit by a tractor at Chicagoland Paving, 225 Telser Road Lake Zurich, Il. The man was also reported to be unresponsive under the tractor. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a man appeared to have been killed.
Firefighter/paramedics arrived to find a 51-year-old man dead at the scene.
The Lake County Coroner was requested to respond to the scene about 1:50 p.m.
BC32 requested a Countryside Engine and Barrington Ambulance to stand by at a Lake Zurich Fire Station by 1:51 p.m.
Chicagoland Paving company is an asphalt paving company located about one block from the Lake Zurich US Post Office and the Lake Zurich Mariano’s located on Route 22. The company site has a fenced-in truck, tractor and materials yard and office and operations building.
