Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:31 AM Thursday of criminal damage to vehicle in the block of 700 East Charles Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders criminally damaged the right rear tire of the victim’s 2016 gray Mazda 3.

The tire was punctured by an unknown object.

The cost to repair the damage was unknown at the time of the police report.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 10:00 PM and Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 06:30 AM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 8:30 (hours: minutes).

Similar crimes were reported involving 14 other vehicles in eight other locations in northeast neighborhoods in Arlington Heights. In all cases, tires were punctured by an unknown object. In all cases, the cost of repair was unknown at the time of the police report. The total cost of the crime is estimated to be over

The earliest discovered occurrence was 12:30 a.m. although it is unknown when the first report was called in to the Arlington Heights Police Department.

Unknown offender(s) damaged the tires on two of the victim’s vehicles. A tire was damaged on a 2005 black Nissan Altima and a tire was damaged on another unspecified vehicle.
