Arlington Heights police received a report about 12:20 AM Sunday of a stolen auto near 2403 East Brandenberry Court Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender stole a black 2013 Kia Optima (color not described).
the vehicle is also described as having a scratch on the rear bumper that is a thick gray/white line. One headlight has a ultraviolet/blue tint and the other headlight has a yellow tint. Fuzzy dice were hanging from the rearview mirror and “strand flowers.” The vehicle also had tinted windows. The rear emblem on the car is described as having a “Lexus-looking” badge, not a Kia emblem.
There were valuables in the car (jewelry or jewelry-related) valued at about $3,000.
The vehicle’s keys were in the car at the time of the auto theft.
A suspect in the auto theft is described as a male/white in his early 20s with blond hair and scruffy facial hair. The suspect was possibly wearing a dark gray hoodie.
The vehicle was last seen northwest on Rand Road.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 12:10 a.m.
