Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:46 PM Friday to a report of smoke in an office building at 1040 South Arlington Heights Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of smoke in a hallway while an electrician was working in the building.
Interior firefighters reported a light haze and a hot wall near a circuit breaker.
Firefighters brought in a hose line and pump cans, and opened a wall to find some charred wood. No major fire was discovered.
Southbound Arlington Heights Road was shut down between Central Road and Magnolia Street for working firefighters at the scene. Southbound Arlington Heights Road was reopened by 3:22 p.m.
