Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report about 4:23 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 of a blown transformer with a fire on the ground.
Buffalo Grove Fire Department Tower Ladder 25’s crew on arrival reported a utility pole on fire at the base of the pole.
Power lines are also down in the area. Some power lines down are reported to be on the west side of Old Buffalo Grove Road.
ComEd reported early this morning that 745 customers were without power. Initially ComEd reported a restoration time of 6:30 a.m. on February 24, but at 6:23 a.m. ComEd reported a restoration time of 2:00 p.m.
