Illinois State Police, Elk Grove Village police and Elk Grove and Schaumburg firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:37 AM Thursday to a report of a rollover crash with injuries and entrapment at Route 53 and Biesterfield Road Elk Grove Village, Il. The crash was initially reported on southbound Route 53 at Biesterfield Road.
Crews approaching reported the crash is on Biesterfield Road.
Elk Grove Fire Department Battalion Chief 2 reported the crash was located on the entrance ramp at the top at Biesterfield Road, involving two vehicles with one vehicle on its side. Entrapment was confirmed upon arrival.
The first patient was extricated by 11:54 a.m.
Firefighters were opening the roof of one vehicle at about 11:55 a.m.
Last patient extricated by 11:57 a.m.
The total number of patients extricated and transported was unknown as of 2:30 p.m.
