Protesters – some very young and old – cause havoc and a brief fire outside the National Press Club and ‘Deploraball’ event as they vow to resist the Trump administration. Fox News Griff Jenkins reports
At the Washington D.C. anti-Trump protest Thursday January 19, 2017,, a grinning Connor Carey was asked by Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins why he started the small blaze outside the National Press Club in Washington, where a pro-Trump “Deploraball” party was being held.
Connor replied: “Because I felt like it and I’m just … saying, screw our president!”
According to Connor “regretted his choice of words” after a sit-down with his parents, a source told TMZ.
According to New York Post’s Page Six, the Cleveland-born comic and Connor’s Dad, Drew Carey, is a registered Republican, that backed Libertarian Gary Johnson for president this time around because he said the ex-governor of New Mexico wasn’t a “maniac or a liar.”
Drew Carey narrowly missed inhaling pepper spray fumes, burning signs and violent protesters Thursday night; but it was his son, Connor, who had the notorious interview with Fox News after starting a fire on the street on the same night.
