Lake Zurich police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:48 AM Monday to a report of a house fire at 24007 North Quentin Road Lake Zurich, Il. A police officer possibly discovered the house fire, as they were on scene already when the fire call was dispatched.
Police later reported the house was fully-engulfed with fire.
Lake Zurich’s Battalion Chief on arrival reported heavy smoke showing with fire apparently at the rear side of the house.
The fire possibly started on the outside of the house from a pile of ashes and extended into the house. However, the official cause of the fire is under investigation.
A MABAS Division 4 Box Alarm was activated at 8:20 a.m. and was struck out by 8:47 a.m. after the fire was extinguished.
