Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:00 AM Monday of a vehicle burglary in progress in the block of 1400 East Central Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender was burglarizing multiple vehicles in a parking lot near Central Park East Apartments and Dana Point Condonminiums.
An eyewitness, coupled with a quick response by Arlington Heights Police Department patrol officers, is credited with apprehending the suspect a short distance away.
Arlington Heights police report that responding officers located Jeremy Swinford, a former Kildeer resident, walking in the area. Swinford was positively identified as the suspect seen entering vehicles by the 911 caller. Swinford was taken into custody and transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department headquarters.
Jeremy Swinford, is identified as a male/white, 27-years-old.
He was charged with four counts of burglary two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Court date is to be determined.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 3:00 AM.
