A California District Attorney has dropped charges against Joseph Schwab, the man who was charged with a DUI even though a drug test only came back positive for caffeine.
Only caffeine was recently found in a DUI driving suspect’s system, and the charges for Joseph Schwab have been dropped.
Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams believes some other drug was in Joseph Schwab’s system, but that there was no test used that could have detected another type of drug. DUI drug tests don’t usually test for synthetic marijuana, performance enhancers such as steroids, or designer stimulants such as bath salts.
