President-elect Donald J. Trump selected his transition chairman and other leaders on Friday with Vice President-elect Mike Pence leading.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will now serve as vice chairman, having served initially as the chairman. Also included on the executive committee are former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions.
An official statement from the Trump says that more than a dozen other people will also advise Trump on transition matters. Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus and former Breitbart news executive Steve Bannon are also part of the transition team
