Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:10 PM Sunday to a report of a house fire at 1831 East Tano Lane Mount Prospect, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a screened in porch was on fire at the back of the house.
A caller also reported that the fire is possibly extending to the next-door neighbor’s house.
Mount Prospect police, first on the scene by 9:15 p.m., reported the entire back of the residence is on fire. Police reported the fire is not extending to the neighbor’s house.
Prospect Heights Engine 39’s crew first on scene reported a fire at the rear of the building. Mount Prospect Battalion Chief 3 immediately upgraded the response to a working fire — Code 3.
Com Ed was requested to expedite to the scene for a downed power line service drop in the backyard. Nicor was also requested to the scene.
Apparently no injuries occurred.
Firefighters from Prospect Heights, Des Plaines, Glenview and Wheeling assisted Mount Prospect firefighters.
