Kayleigh McEnany and Van Jones clashed over President-elect Donald Trump’s decision to appoint Steve Bannon to chief strategist.
Kayleigh McEnany and Van Jones argue over whether Van Jones was irresponsible on how he conveyed Muslim fear of internment camps. Did he stoke fears? Regarding the Muslim audience, Van Jones said Trump wanted to “ban people of their faith” which lands like a bomb in their laps. Van Jones claimed Trump had said nothing good about the Muslim community.
Then-candidate Trump’s proposed ban was targeted and conditional on people entering the country from war-torn, terror regions of the world. Van Jones ignored that context of the ban.
During a panel discussion about Donald Trump winning the presidential election, CNN contributor Van Jones said if people want unity, you have to hear the pain first.
