Carpentersville police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:10 PM Wednesday to a report of a rollover truck crash at Main Street and Route 31 Carpentersville, Il. The single-vehicle rollover truck crash involved a wide load truck crash while a large crane was being transported.
The driver involved in the rollover truck crash suffered no initial apparent injuries.
Two towing & recovery companies joined efforts in a hazardous specialized recovery operation for a wide load rollover truck crash involving a Liebherr crane. Overhead electric power lines were located near the crash scene.
Pete’s A Towing of East Dundee and Hillside Towing of Arlington Heights worked a joint operation in daylight and night time hours to stabilize and remove the crane and truck.
Recovery and cleanup was completed by 1:00 a.m. today.
Around midnight Wednesday/Thursday Carpentersville firefighters also fought a house fire on Lowell Drive with the help of neighboring communities.
