Des Plaines police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:13 PM Saturday to a report of a pedestrian hit by a train near the Cumberland Train Station, 485 Northwest Highway Des Plaines, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a person was hit by a Metra Train near the Cumberland Station. The caller reported that the train did not stop.
Ambulance 63 crew on scene reported an obvious DOA at 3:17 p.m.
The victim was located on the south side of the railroad tracks.
All extra equipment and auto-aid firefighter/paramedics were immediately returned.
Des Plaines fire command immediately requested confirmation that train traffic be stopped.
