Police are asking for the public’s help in the search for a missing St. Charles man.
Dane Haggerty, 46, did not return home from a business trip Friday, according to a statement from the Kane County sheriff’s office. After his wife reported him missing, a St. Charles Park District Park Service officer found his vehicle at the Otter Creek Wetlands parking lot at 6N850 Crane Road.
A search operation that involved firefighters from Fox River and Countryside FPD, Bartlett, Carol Stream and Geneva began about 9:41 a.m. Saturday.
The Kane County Officer of Emergency Management Search and Rescue Team was also conducting a ground search of the area. Police investigators do not suspect foul play, but said Haggerty may have harmed himself.
Haggarty is described as a 6’0″ 215 LBS male/white with brown eyes and brown hair. Haggarty was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt and khaki pants.
