A manhunt has ended quickly in New Jersey, where authorities have caught the man who’s suspected in the weekend explosions in New York City and New Jersey. (Sept. 19)
Ahmad Khan Rahami has been taken into custody after a shootout with police in Linden, New Jersey. A Linden police captain have now confirmed the reports from local media sources. A local restaurant/bar owner reported the suspicious suspect sleeping in a doorway, who was also reported to be firing a weapon indiscriminately while walking down the street when police arrived.
Two police officers were injured in the shootout. One officer was hit by a bullet in the bulletproof vest, one police officer was hit by shrapnel, and one police officer assessed after complaining of “high blood pressure.”
Early witness reports indicated the suspect with a full beard was walking down a street when a police car rolled up, and the suspect opened fire on police.
Two police officers are reported to be wounded. One is reported to have been saved by his bulletproof vest.

The suspect is reported to have a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
