Arlington Heights police responded about 4:13 AM Saturday for an armed suspect that fled from the area of Windsor Drive and Palatine Road Arlington Heights, IL. Area police officers received a report that a man fled in a silver Nissan Altima during a traffic stop. A police officer noticed a handgun on the suspect’s lap during a traffic stop, and the suspect then fled in his vehicle.
The suspect was described as a male/white in his 20s, brown hair, beard, wearing a T-shirt and jeans and armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
The suspect and his vehicle were last seen by police fleeing eastbound on Palatine Road from Windsor Drive.
Later, the suspect’s vehicle was discovered in Wheeling by 6:00 a.m. but the suspect was still at large.
The initial crime of fleeing and eluding is reported to have occurred about 4:13 a.m. No information was available regarding the reason or probable cause for the traffic stop.
