A new report conducted by the Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation ranks state-by-state obesity rates in the United States, and the results are pretty grim.
A recent report by Trust for America’s Health & the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has ranked states by obesity rates.
In 1991, no state had an obesity rate over 20 percent. Recently, no state has an obesity rate under 20 percent. Illinois rates of adult obesity ranked #18 with an adult obesity rate of 30.8 percent.
U.S. adult obesity rates decreased in four states (Minnesota, Montana, New York and Ohio), increased in two (Kansas and Kentucky) and remained stable in the rest, between 2014 and 2015, according to The State of Obesity: Better Policies for a Healthier America, a report from the Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF).
