Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:09 AM Wednesday to a report of a stabbing at 478 St Mary’s Parkway, Buffalo Grove, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a 47-year-old male, a 19-year-old male, and a female were stabbed.

Initially there was a report of two people stabbed. A few minutes later a report was received that a woman was stabbed.
Several minutes later a fourth victim was discovered stabbed with apparently minor injuries.
The offenders were reported to have fled toward the backyard.
Two patients were transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville — not confirmed. Two people were transported to Northwest Community Hospital — not confirmed. All stabbing patients are expected to survive.
A dog was also stabbed and was carried out of the house about the same time the fourth stabbing victim was transported away from the scene.
Police have confirmed that four people were stabbed, and that three people are in custody for questioning and investigation early Wednesday morning.
Patrol officers broadcast descriptions of the attackers to area police departments, and two men matching the descriptions were apprehended up by Wheeling police officers near Lake Cook and Weiland roads about 4,000 feet, or three quarters of a mile — east of the crime scene.
Buffalo Grove police reported there is no existing threat to the community related to the stabbing incident, and believe the stabbings were a targeted attack. The home invasion with aggravated battery (stabbing) are under investigation. A knife was recovered by police officers, according to police.
