Joliet and Plainfield police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:20 AM Thursday to a report of a plane crash and house fire at 1812 Hampton Court Plainfield, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a small plane crashed into a house and caused a fire on the exterior of the house that was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
A woman and a dog escaped the crash. Debris from the aircraft is visible in the street with soot in the street next to the house.
The crash site is about 2.75 miles northwest of Joliet Regional Airport.
The crash site is also about 6 miles southwest of Lewis University Airport, and about 10 miles south southwest of Clow International Airport in Bolingbrook.
At 12:30 p.m. there was no confirmation how many people were aboard the aircraft.
