FRIDAY JULY 8 2016 @ 12 PM …
At 12 Noon today, Central Standard Time, the City of Dallas will be holding a prayer vigil for the officers killed and wounded in last night’s horrific attack targeted at Police Officers.
In solidarity with the City of Dallas, citizens are invited and encouraged to attend a 5 minute moment of silence in Memorial Park in Arlington Heights at the same time — 12 Noon today. Located at the crossroads of Fremont, Chestnut and Park, it is the “Triangle” park dedicated to the veterans of Arlington Heights.
Everyone is encouraged to “Back the Blue” and wear something blue to show your support for those killed and wounded last night in Dallas and for all of those who serve the public and put themselves in harm’s way and knowing they may have to make the ultimate sacrifice for the nameless public they serve.
The Moment of Silence gathering to Stand with Dallas is initiated by Arlington Heights resident Jim Constantine.
Weather forecast is Mostly Sunny, High 87. Weather radar is clear — Arlingtoncardinal.com/weather
