Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:45 AM Monday to a report of hit-and-run semi-trailer truck crash with a utility pole Estes Avenue and Elmhurst Road Elk Grove Village, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a semi-trailer truck and power lines and/or utility pole on Estes Avenue east of Elmhurst Road. Power lines were down but not arcing. The utility pole was not down.
2400 block of Estes Avenue without power.
Businesses have also lost power on Greenleaf Avenue from Elmhurst Road to Nicholas Boulevard and also possibly to Busse Road.
Witness reports tow truck was towing a semi-trailer truck and semi was on an angle when it hit the pole.
