McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies and McHenry Township FPD firefighter/paramedics responded Tuesday afternoon July 19, 2016 to Holly Ct in unincorporated McHenry to a report that a 4-year-old girl was found unresponsive with heat-related illness in her family’s car.
The girl had entered the car without anyone’s knowledge, after she overheard a family discussion about going to her grandmother’s for dinner. She apparently entered the car on her own.
The girl was transported by McHenry Township Fire Protection District firefighter/paramedics to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, and later transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. No information about her condition at either hospital was available.
The high temperature Tuesday at O’Hare International Airport was 91°F at 1:09 p.m.
