Multiple Parked Cars Hit in Crash on Miner St East of Haddow Ave Arlington Heights.
Arlington Heights police responded about 5:45 PM Monday to a report of a property damage crash at Miner Street and Douglas Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a car hit several parked cars on Miner Street between Douglas Avenue and Haddow Avenue.
A silver Kia sedan was headed westbound when it hit a white Mazda sedan in the left driver’s side rear wheel well. The Kia then hit a Mercedes sedan hard in the rear end, which pushed the Mercedes into a black Chevy Tahoe. The Mercedes was likely totaled with severe damage to the front and rear.
The driver said he was only going 25 MPH when he swerved when he thought he saw a child run between cars.
Miner Street is a residential side street with arterial-like traffic, especially during rush hour.
Neighbors mentioned that many vehicles speed through the street, especially during rush hour. Traffic was observed to be especially heavy on the eastbound side after the crash.
