Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:24 PM Thursday to a report of a man beaten with a baseball bat at an apartment building, 403 N Kennicott Ave Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a man was beaten by another man with a baseball bat at an apartment building just south of the US Post Office.
Firefighter/paramedics staged until police secured the scene. The offender fled the scene before the police arrived.
The man was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
The offender was described as a male/black, age 35, 5’10” large build, wearing a yellow short sleeve shirt, and black pants.
The offender was reported to have fled in a silver Ford Focus. Arlington Heights police are investigating the vehicle and the suspect from the description. Police also canvassed the area, which includes apartments, the U.S. Post Office and an Arlington Heights Park District park.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 6:23 p.m.
